1 Stop and Breathe
- Pause.
- Take slow breaths.
- Give yourself time to think.
- You do not need to rush.
2 Go Somewhere Safer
- Go into a shop or café.
- Go to a staffed station.
- Stand near a driver or staff member.
- Move to a bright, busy area.
3 Tell Someone
- Call or message a trusted person.
- Contact your college.
- Use your emergency contact.
- Share your location if you can.
4 If Talking Is Hard
- Show a message on your phone.
- Use the accessibility card.
- Use voice-to-text.
- Use short, simple sentences.
If your bus or train changes unexpectedly:
- Stay where you feel safe.
- Check for another route.
- Tell someone about the change.
- It is okay to stop your journey.
5 Trust Your Feelings
- If something feels wrong, leave.
- Change your route.
- Wait somewhere safer.
- Ask for help.
