Travel Settings
Use this page to control how Aubin plans your journeys. Choose your preferred modes of transport, set travel preferences, and adjust advanced options.
Modes & Preferences
Use the Modes sliders to select the types of transport you prefer to use, and any you would like to avoid.
Use the Preferences sliders to choose other travel options, such as whether you prefer to walk more or avoid transfers.

Quick actions
You’ll also find these quick actions on the Travel Settings screen:
-
Fastest route
Overrides your preferences to show the quickest available route. -
Reset to defaults
Resets all travel preferences to Aubin’s default settings. -
Step-free access
Tell Aubin whether you need step-free access.
Green indicates step-free access is switched on.

Advanced Options
Advanced Options let you include private transport, Park & Ride facilities, and fine-tune which modes are used when planning journeys.
Some features are still in development and may not yet have full GB coverage.
When this option is switched on (red), you can plan journeys that include:
-
Private transport such as cycling or driving
-
Park and Ride facilities
Bicycle on board
This setting lets you search for journeys where bicycles are allowed on board public transport.
Note: This feature is currently in development and may prioritise cycling journeys over other modes.
Green indicates this option is switched on.
Pick-up and drop-off options
This setting allows you to include journeys using:
-
Park and Ride – park outside a city or town centre and continue by bus
-
Bicycle Park & Ride – park a bicycle securely before continuing by public transport
-
Car Kiss & Ride (Drop & Ride) – get a lift to or from a station or bus stop
Use this option if someone is picking you up from, or dropping you off at, a station or bus stop.

Hide transport modes
You can choose to hide specific transport modes:
-
Green – the mode is active and included in journey planning
-
Grey – the mode is switched off and will not be included
We recommend only switching off a mode if it is not available in your area. Turning off too many modes may prevent Aubin from showing some journeys.
